We are in the middle of a deep freeze and combined with post-holiday blues, many of us need a way to keep our spirits up. I do that with fashion, and picking outfits that will make me feel happy, motivated and pretty.
Today's outfit was inspired by Canadian plus size fashion blogger extraordinaire Karen of Killer Kurves shown below. Her look was so cute, feminine and simple.
My confident curvy girl look consists of a black sweater with the coolest plus size side zipper and mesh detail creating a gorgeous silhouette, hot pink leggings, over-the-knee wide calf leather boots because, they're hot, and it is winter after all, and a colorful bold statement necklace.
Outerwear consisted of a black bomber jacket (tip: bomber jackets are thin and warm, for those of you who dislike the traditional bulk of outerwear, like me), pink gloves that were gifted, and an animal print scarf to balance out the colors and add some print. Ok, do we ever need a reason to wear animal print? I think not. :)
So there you have it. Break the rules, wear white after Labor Day, wear hot pink in January. Do what makes you feel good. How you dress has a big impact on how you face your day, how you feel about yourself, how you interact with poeple, how you handle challenges, your confidence level, etc. So have fun with it because being a girl rocks.
Question: How do you tackle winter blues and mundane winter colors? Comment below. I'd love to hear from you.
